Angela Phillips

Educational Psychologist

Angela has had an innate passion for working with animals and children since she was a kid. Angela Phillips has been an Educational Psychologist at Brain Learning since January 2019 and works as a Learning Disability Coordinator for the adult population. Angela earned an associate’s degree in Animal Health Technology in 1997 took her state board exam and became a Registered Veterinary Technician(RVT). She worked as an RVT for over nine years and then changed careers and became a Career Technical Education Teacher for the Sweetwater Union High School District from 2006-2013. She then went back to school and earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from National University, San Diego in 2010. Angela continued to pursue her educational goals and earned her master’s in School Psychology from National University in 2013. While working as a school psychologist, Angela attended Brandman University in 2017 and completed her Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) course work and internship hours.

She earned her ABA certificate and is currently studying to take her state board exam to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Angela also works as a school psychologist independent contractor and assesses students from the age range of preschool through twelve grades. In her free time, she enjoys camping with her two children, hanging out with family, and spending time outdoors.
